A learning and development background, now applied to design.

Hi, I'm Ryan.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education: Biological Sciences from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. I started out teaching, then followed my passion into learning and development, with a focus on technology.

That path led to a career in instructional design and e-learning, and eventually into Browner Designs: a small design studio built around the same core skill. Whether I'm laying out a homepage, mapping an app's onboarding flow, or storyboarding a training course, I'm asking the same question L&D always asks — will this actually make sense to the person on the other end?

I'm passionate about style, creativity, gaming, and technology, and I like combining all of it with a genuine design and education background. All designs are created in-house, by me, in the U.S.A.

Outside of client work, you'll usually find me experimenting with new design tools or playing through whatever game inspired my last project idea.
